EXAMPLES OF CUSTOM SOLUTIONS

Ontario, 16 hospitals - Developed a database and web-based critical care data collection tool and Apache calculator. Database is pre-populated with data already available electronically (i.e. ADT, lab results), as well as manually collected by users via PC and mobile devices. Data is used for research on critical care best practices, and currently contains the greatest amount of data about critical care patients in the world.

National, large multi-hospital system - Designed/built a database and web-based user interface for tracking/managing the inventory of computer applications utilized at each hospital in the system.

IL & IN - Developed a program which is used to capture the series (recurring) patients at month end, and automates the monthly discharge and re-registration of each patient back into the registration system.

MI - Created a program which bundles all of the electronic radiology reports from the day, along with associated patient demographic/insurance information, encrypts the file, and FTP's the file to the billing service for the hospital radiology group. The job is scheduled to run each night.

National, vendor - Designed/built the web front end for a major scheduling system vendor, providing web functionality so that physicians can request/schedule appointments and view schedules.

AL - Utilizing web services technology, created a link from hospital to major insurance company to access claims data for identifying patient medications across the continuum of care.

IN - Developed intranet-based application that provides for the request, approval and tracking of all charge description master (CDM) requests, and then electronically updates approved changes into the hospital financial system utilizing scripting and screen scraping.

OK, multi-facility - Extracted bad debt data from an old hospital financial system via flat file reports, mapped and converted the data to appropriate format, and migrated the converted data to the new financial system utilizing screen scraping.

NC - Developed a program which extracts data from the telephone system and presents it in a web-based user interface, where it is used by client to measure impact of information systems implementations and process improvement initiatives.
